From Kingsport to the Newsroom

Two decades of
telling other people's stories.

Nikki got her start in television as a one woman band reporter in Hagerstown, Maryland, shooting her own video, writing her own scripts, and editing her own packages. From there she moved to Lexington, Kentucky, then to Washington, D.C., where she reported for WUSA9 and earned an Emmy for her work.

"My favorite moments were just being on the morning show. I had so much fun."

In 2017, Nikki and her husband Justin made their way home to Tennessee, where she joined WKRN News 2 and eventually took the anchor chair for Good Morning Nashville alongside Neil Orne, a seat she held for 8 years.
